Rear washer not working ?

Featured Replies

Hi All just a quick reminder that the washer pipe pops off a connection under the bonnet on the nearside behind the blower motor when the rear washer jet freezes up !

Think this has happened to me. Filled the washer bottle up, rear washer jet didnt work & then noticed the screen wash on the floor.

Intend having a mooch tomorrow. Is it as simple as removing the air box? Was going to start by removing the near-side wheel arch cover to have a look in there.

It actually can pop off in 4 places. Sick of typing them out lol

none require removing the airbox! The most common seems to be the bulk head one, which is luckily the easiest! its just off centre, get someone else to squirt the jet and you'll see the dangling pipe just behind the engine, and it should be plugged into the bit of pipe jutting out the bulkhead.

If you can't see it there, its probably the passenger wheel arch one, which requires an arch lining removing

Good call; it was the bulkhead pipe that had become detached. What can I say. Not even a 2 minute job. Thanks for the advice emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Thank you:-)
