Rear screen connection

Featured Replies

hi, been trying for a while to figure out why my rear screen sometimes clears, buzzes or does nothing at all. iVe just discovered that the (double/ right) connection has detatched from the window itself. so my question is ..... Can it be re-attatched, without having to remove the window?

cheers ian

I have used silver loaded epoxy for the lower current in a heated door mirror but not for such a high current as the total rear screen. You might be able to embed some copper wire in the epoxy to improve conductivity.

The material is sold in Ha***rds as a repair kit for heated rear screens at about £8.

I once repaired a heated screen connection on my old Rover by simply soldering it back on. It was a bit tricky soldering upside down though
