VRS Service Intervals

Featured Replies

Had my VRS since April this year, top car. Purchased it with 31,000 on the clock and FDSH. Last service was Sept 2008 but in the book it says not due until 39,000 miles i dont do that much driving really im on 35,000 now. Should it be done every year or every 10,000 miles, i know im due an oil change regardless. Also what oil is best, in my hand book it says Shell Helix but on my receipts from the dealer they used Megnetec 10/40?

Cheers

Every year or 10,000 miles, which ever comes first!

indeed, its every 12 months or 10K whichever occurs first unless the car is on variable servicing in which case its upto somewhere around 18K miles or 2 years between services.

The handbook will have a code of either QG1 or QG2. QG1 is variable servicing and QG2 is fixed (1yr or 10000mls)

BUT... as with my car the previous owner may have decided to swap from variable to fixed for some reason.
