mfd1 unit locked

Hi all/anyone

please can anyone tell me what i can do to get round the 'Unit locked' on my mfd1 skoda dx. I have the code but put it in wrong and now its frozen. ive been told to leave it on and wait 3omins and it should reset but this hasn't happened so far. do I need to wait longer am i doing something wrong. please help.

additionally as i'm on here and perhaps more importantly i seemed to have knocked out my dash and center console lighting by trying to put back the glove box. I know the glove box illuminating light precedes these things in the circuit but the bulb and housing look intact. any ideas???
