just looking at the bhp variants of the 3 pot TDi, it seems that the difference between the 70 and the 80 is probably down to the software they are running? Would it be likely there was any difference in anything else?

Can ecus be recoded officially to apply the higher bhp, rather than remapping through an aftermarket supplier... or applying a tuning box.

I'd also be interested to hear whether anyone is using a tuning box sucessfully on the 70.

It will be the same as getting a box or remap on any other PD.

Plenty of choice, should go up to early 90's at least

Looks like a resistor box to me. All it does is fool the engine into thinking it's colder. Expect to pay £150+ for a decent digital box and £300+ for a decent remap
