Heater Matrix vRS Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi there, has anyone got any idea as to where the heater matrix is in my Fabia vRS, im having real issues with my car steaming up and have been informed that there is a very good chance the heater matrix could be seaping and need replacing. if anyone knows where abouts it is and also if its a hard job can u please get back to me!

More likley leaking door seals or a blocked pollen filter TBH, worth doing a search, TONNES of information in here about it, probably second most asked question after Tyre selection ;)

haha ok, i had actually changed the pollen filter, it was as black as the ace of spades!! the guy in my local skoda dealer said he'd never seen 1 as bad... now i have changed it, fan speed 1 is quicker than what fan speed 4 was before the change!!

although that has helped, the car still steams up far 2 quickly, is it possible that leaking door seals can cause this?? do u no if its an expensive fix and how do i test it?

regards

chris

You'll know its the door seals if you feel any damp carpets in any of the footwells - front and rear.

Though make sure its not snow or water off your shoes

Id go for door seals or some sort of leak WAY before a heater matrix.
