Yeti wins!

In summary the engine wins it for the Yeti and they also feel it handles better than the Octavia due to shorter overhangs (despite greater height) The Yeti also has better rear passenger space.

The Octavia was (obviously) better on boot space and the fuel consumption was better than the Yeti at high speed although worse at low speed (due to aerodynamics) They feel the interior quality of the two was very close although in the Octavia you sit lower which they thought felt more cossetting.

interesting to see the side by side comparison pictures; the height and buff front of the Monster to me anyway, make her look bigger than she actually is, particularly next to another car.
