Yeti "flash and wave"?

Featured Replies

Which of you new Yeti owners is going to "Flash and Wave" then... :giggle::thumbup:

Whoohooo!!!!.........................just seen another Yeti while driving ours.... B)

A 59 plate in blue travelling between Inkberrow & Alcester.

No flash and wave but did get a 'look'.....it was quick as we were both doing around 50 mph I'd guess.

I still have not seen a Yeti whilst in ours!!! :'(

But my other half whose "everyday" car it is has seen at least 8 around Worcestershire / Herefordshire and has enthusiastically flashed...(his lights :wonder: )...and had no response at all :o .

The most recent was on Saturday on the A456 just outside Tenbury Wells a Red Yeti was coming towards Tenbury from Worcester / Kidderminster direction and my other half with our lad in the car to were quite excited and duly flashe...d but no reply :'( .

We'll have to start a circular to all our dealers... a campaign so they insist to all new Yeti owners that it is a prerequisite to owning a Yeti to "Flash & Wave" :giggle:

Apologies to the Muscavado Monster driver (if you frequent the forum) who I confused the heck out of on the A614 Driffield bypass heading in the Bridlington direction. TP was travelling the opposite way to the Kellythorpe dump in my lads Furby I so I thought I might say hellow

TP

We met a fellow Yeti owner as he was pulling out of a parking space in the main street of Cricklade this afternoon, and he gave me a very strange look when I flashed, tooted and waved!!

Southeners are a very different breed to the rest of us - probably thought you were trying to chat him up!

The only car I ever owned that got a reciprocal acknowledgement from other owners was my Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV back in the seventies. Today it's more likely to be a warning of a flooded road or a cop with a speed camera :-)

They do that waving thing in Landrovers as well for some strange reason. I thought it rather strange and ignored it unless it was for a roadside favour, letting pass, recognising, that sort of thing. If you park a Landrover in a car park, come back and usually their would be others parked close to i.

Yes, about 70% of old Landrovers join in. But at they look at you weird if you foregt you are in the Rangie and not the Defender. :giggle:

I've never understood the car park thing. But nearly everytime you park, you come back to find all the defenders are close together.

We're very friendly down south and if you disagree I'll smash you face in :giggle:

Flashed an 11-reg Muscovado Yeti today on the A338 just outside Hungerford, and got a friendly wave in return - result!
