Dodgy Dash

Featured Replies

Hi, i have recently bought a 2000 octavia 1.9 TDi SLX, great car especially after adding a mod from CarPower.de, have tested and has shaved 2 secs off of 0-60, but I am now experiencing a problem with the instrument cluster.

The problem is that none of the dials work. Occasionally they will move when the ignition is switched but after a few seconds or when you start the car all the dials go dead. All the lights continue to work.

I have to use the digital speed on the climatronic to know how fast I am going.

Does anyone know of this problem and what causesit or do I have to buy a complete new dash pod, which is what Skoda are saying.

Please help....

Absolutely no idea I'm afraid, however one or two more knowledgeable people will probably be along soon.
