Ha genius aren't I lol, its a p reg felicia 1.3 mpi

ok we have loads of bumpers but you will really struggle to get a wing off without damaging it as they are stuck on with sealer. where abouts are you? bumpers are expensive to post lol

If the wings are like the Favorit's, get a stiff stanley knife and take that across the sealant at the point where the wing joins the inner wing, pushing down hard. Go over a good few times. If all bolts are removed and you've cut in the right place it should come off relatively easily. I learned this only after bending one of my own wings.

Stuck with sealant?I cant see any on mine and need to take them off soon are you sure it`s the same with a favorit?

The wings on all the Favs I ever broke (for spares) were held on with sealer as well as bolts, and it was next to impossible to get them off without damage.

Yeah it's a nasty polyurethane sealant. Very difficult to remove (even though part of it was holding water against some rusting metal underneath), I tried scraping the stuff off with a chisel and it must have taken me all day and I still managed to damage the wing. In the end the stanley knife seemed the best way, although it's a bit difficult to tell exactly where the join is. It covers the whole of the underside of the car and I believe is meant to be protection against corrosion.

When you remove a Wing from a Fav most of the retaining caged nuts are bound to snap off - although it should hold fine with just the bits you can reach behind to put a nut there to hold, and the ones which survived. Some of the bumper nuts may give trouble too, but some thick cable ties are your friend

I might be able to help with a bumper. PM me if you like.

It looks like the insurance company is likely to write off my Felicia due to the damage to the rear axle, and rear wing making it a very expensive repair, it doesn't look in any way bad, but I have to wait for the engineers report. On the phone today they asked me if I'd want to keep the car. I said I wasn't sure because I'd need to know the report, so am playing the waiting game. First time this has ever happened to me, and I guess they'll want me to pay the scrap value of the car.

Would anyone be interested in parts off it, or what would its scrap value be? If it does get taken away for the crusher I guess I could 'save' a few parts off it first, in case they'll come in handy for the favorit. Its got 2 brand new week old tyres on the front which will have to come off!

My son has just smacked his felly into the back of a HGV, so I may be asking for help with parts tomorrow night!! Going up in the morning to look at the car!!

I will certainly need either headlight lens's or complete units for both sides, l/h wing and a new grill from what he has told me, and possibly a new radiator.

Damn thing was near mint condition emoticon-0106-crying.gif

Ok, a mechanic agrees that the chassis is twisted, so it is a write-off emoticon-0106-crying.gifemoticon-0106-crying.gifemoticon-0106-crying.gif; anyone selling a REALLY cheap felly anywhere near the west midlands??

The interior, engine, etc, are all good (the engine is MINT!!), so I will try and offer everything as spares IF I can find somewhere to keep the car.
