AMD Skoda 0 Tuned Scooby 1

Yeah performance wise the old Scoobs are vastly superior to the newer ones...which is why I bought a new one :o :P Nicer to sit in, though

If it was a "bug eye" or newer shape then WRX will be 225bhp and STi will be 265bhp' date=' assuming it hasn't had the PPP applied :D

At the risk of being pedantic, the blob eye is 225bhp. Isn't the bug eye 215bhp?

For anyone thats interested: bugeye = fugly, blobeye = headlight/wing/beefed up revisions and not quite so fugly

You could well be right - I assumed the bug eye would have more power over the outgoing classic shaped one, but I do remember the blob eye being advertised as having a 10bhp power hike now you mention it :D

James, strangely enough, mine is better in the wet than the dry - just ask the guys who were at Castle Combe earlier this year.

Mind you, mine isn't a Fabia or even an RS of any kind, which would probably explain it :D

My point for buying the Scoob was its wet weather performance (everyone should experience 4 wheel drive) and its tunability. The single figure MPGs are making me cry' date=' though :([/quote']

Just to be pedantic, I've driven quite a few 4wd cars, and I don't think they're much better in the wet. They only make a difference when pulling away.

4wd doesn't give you any more grip: it just improves traction under certain circumstances. Braking and cornering aren't really improved, and the transmission has far higher losses, which eats power and economy.

Your tyres only have so much grip: adding drive to two more wheels won't make you corner or stop any quicker.
