0-60 there was only about a car and a half lenght in :D and in gear whilst rolling he wasn't getting away alot from about 70mph, this was a WRX with a different exahust so pushing about 240/250bhp (Yes about 40bhp with a decent exhaust cause I was going to buy a Scooby WRX and loked into it), if it was the sti then it would be good night little furby

I am overly please and so was SWMBO

I think a standard WRX shouldn't be a problem but I am yet to find a completey standard one ;)

May be 240/250bhp, but due to transmission losses, it'll likely be about 170bhp at the wheels and I suspect the WRX weighs a bit more than a Furby so probably pretty even :D New STi is even heavier I think and only 265bhp, unless you find a PPP'ed one :)

Well if a WRX is Sub 6 seconds to 60 then I think I did well.

Aye, but above 60 a remapped Fabia or Octy RS will reel a Scoob or EVO in nicely unless it's one of the top models or is absoloutely mental...

I've done it with a Scoob or 2 and a local EVO4 on more than one occasion. Off the line they'll leave you for dead, once you get moving they get a hell of a shock ;)

killed a VTR to 60 (I didn't want to speed!).... not much of a fight but much improvement on 2nd and 3rd with AMD's help

traction control has to work for its money never had the light on before :D

Umm...a VTR?

So you should !

My mate is getting a totally standard scooby wrx UK T reg today he picks it up, he wants to have a race next week at work i will tell you all how I get on, I am quietly confident mind you.

Keep us informed :)

No matter how well you do with the std Furby, you could better it ( YouKnowWhatIMean )

Steve

Had a race with a new shape WRX STi & I was surprised that it wasn't much faster than the Furby.

Had a drive of a 410 bhp twin turbo Supra last night, now that is fast!!

One fo my friends also has a twin turbo supra, running about 470 BHP and that is scary time, i thought i was an acceleration junky but that was painful

had a fight with a scobby the nite in the octy vrs heading home with a prodrive wrx uk edition!!!

man there quick! had him nearly top end thou, could not get no where near him low down!

[/quote']

yer right I seem to remember an article about this

Not me guv, I only have a meagre 74 bhp*

:langel:

*per driven wheel :D

I'm not even going to take the bait... :D

Go on, you know you want to ;)

I will say one thing - how on earth do you people control a remapped Furby in the wet...our standard is an absolute nightmare in the wet.

sooooooooo (big breath...) FWIW My Scoob is slow in a straight line and back to back the (standard) Furby could probably just about stay with it to 60 - but when its dry I take the bike :D .

My point for buying the Scoob was its wet weather performance (everyone should experience 4 wheel drive) and its tunability. The single figure MPGs are making me cry, though :(

 Sure you don't have a hole in your fuel tank?

Chris

Tell me about it

240 miles to a tank - 150 miles in 5th gear at 40 mph on the commute and 90 miles at...ahem....a bit faster than 40 mph :D

Only averaging 25 MPG over the full tank :(

It didn't have the STi badge or any of the noticable goodies but it did just about leave me and I wasn't hanging around' date=' I would of thought a genuine STi would of killed a chipped Furby[/b']

:D

BTW it was an older shaped Scooby not a new one if that helps ?

If it was the "classic" shape then WRX and STi are likely to be 280-300bhp and both Japanese imports. A standard UK turbo (badged Turbo 2000 AWD) is 208-215bhp. You'll only see a jump in bhp if you change at least the centre section and back box - the back box alone won't buy you any gains.

If it was a "bug eye" or newer shape then WRX will be 225bhp and STi will be 265bhp, assuming it hasn't had the PPP applied :D
