More dealer praise...this is getting boring ;)

Featured Replies

Derek Slack Motors, Middlesbrough....as usual.

Clutch Master Cylinder was replaced today. I arrived at 9am, my keys were returned just over 1 hour later as i was about to grab another coffee.

Excellent service as always

Always good to hear praise for a dealer.

Replacement of the master cylinder is quoted as a 90 minute job so they did especially well.

Feedback again here please, Geoff. Was the pedal sticking/clicking or did the master cylider fail?

Tried that Denis' date=' but for some reason i can't edit my original review...

Clutch pedal had the old Cold weather syndrome, and was found having a sleep on several occasions :)[/quote']Can't you add another 'review', Geoff? If not, then that section needs tweaking.

Your post is a useful reminder to Octavia owners that the original clutch master cylinder can suffer from the pedal sticking down and/or clicking in cold weather, and that it was subsequently modified to cure this. A replacement is available FOC from your friendly dealer while your car is still under warranty.

Denis,

New review shall be added, but it would be nice to be able to edit the original review as it would keep things nice & tidy :)

The "Edit" button is there, but using it seems only to refresh the screen, and does not bring up the editing facilities as editing a forum post would..

Ignore the above, the edit facility seems to be working now :rubchin:

They're a nice bunch in Derek Slack Motors. I'm always greeted in a polite manner & they'll be totally honest with you.

Test drove their Fabia vRS a few months back & had a good chat with the lads.

Looking forward to getting the vRS serviced there! (not many times I've said that!)
