vw climatrinic

Featured Replies

Hi, i have an octavia II 1.8tsi 2008 and i want to ask this. As i have changed my car's illumination form green to red/blue (like golf) and i must replace my climatronic unit, does anyone know if is it possible to install a vw climatronic like golf or tiguan etc. and avoid to buy a skoda climatronic and replace its led from green to red?

No idea, but would really like to see a photo of your mod.

Pretty please.

The golf MK5 climate controls are a straight swap, just disconnect the old and reconnect the new. Just make sure you get one that has the electric seat heater controls if you have them, and get one without if you dont.

I can verify what mannyo is saying

thanks a lot,. does anyone know from where i can buy???

They crop up onn ebay sometimes, and tend to go quiet cheaply.

Is there much work/expense involved in an illumination colour change?

I live in greece. I have a friend with perfect soldier skills and i remove all switches and cluster and my friend replace the smd.

It takes a day from morning to night and cost about 10e for buying leds.

A question I have to ask is WHY go red???? Wat's wrong with the green as it should be in the Octy???????

Our Leon has the red illumination, and if there was an easy way of changing it to white or green, I would do. Personally I find red very harsh on the eyes at night.

there is not an answer to your question. it is personaly to everyone to like him any color he want. I don't like green so i change it.
