Numberplate Screws

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've currently got the dealer-supplied (Gordon Lamb Skoda, Chesterfield) number plates on my car which are stuck on with sticky numberplate pads.

I want to fit my new Mladá Boleslav numberplate surrounds, but I assume I will need to source some numberplate screws.

Halfords sell generic self tappers, are these correct?

OR will my local VAG TPS have some?

B&Q sell then as do most acessory shops.

Thanks guys,

Does that mean any numberplate screws will work then and I don't need a specific VAG type or anything?

Just regular self tapping screws will do the job, as you will just be screwing into the plastic backplate. I would suggest stainless steel so they don't rust and make a mess of your plates.

Bob.

I've got a set of these surrounds awaiting fitting - let us know your experience when they're on emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Why not just get some more double sided pads.

Just use them on the MB surrounds as your existing hole free plates will just click in and stay hole free!
