Negative effect on MPG after service

Since getting my card serviced at Christmas I

Now struggling to get 38 mpg - before service 40 to 44 mps

Anyone else come across this little negative ?

Well they do but diesels use a lot more fuel until they are up to operating temperature my Superb has dropped from 43mpg average full to fill to 38mpg on the last tankful my last car (E Class 3.2 diesel ) was 3-4 mpg worse on average every winter
