Heater stuck on Hot Fabia 1.4 2002

Featured Replies

Hey all,

new here but ive been reading up and managed to fix various issues with my gf's 2002 Fabia.

but as i dont have a code reader is there another way to diagnose what the issue is with her heater?

its stuck on hot, fan works fine and if you select AC then it will blow cold.

ive read about the V68 temperature flap control motor issues and it sounds like this is her issue,

Soooo

if it is the case, is the part easy to get and how do i go about replacing it?

Thanks

Dan

Maybe use the search functionn as I'm sure someone on this forum replaced the temperature control flap motor by only removing part of the lower dash. You should buy a new flap motor from Skoda dealer - if a scan, and your findings, points the finger at it being the root cause of your problem - I've got a Passat one in the boot - come summer I'll end up wishing it was fitted (on the Passat I'd still expect to need to remove the dash though!).
