Hi guy's and Gal's

Some of you may have encountered some of my embarrasingly naive questions on the fabia forum, but then I've never had a decent car before and therefore never had any reason to shout about it.

I love reading all your stories and info on the forums but have as much knowledge about the operations of a car as Hitler had about running care homes.

I live up in north east Scotland and would love to come down to an organised event sometime to meet up with some of you enthusiasts (given enough notice) if for no other reason than you could all take the p*** out of a thick Scotsman. :drunk:

I stumbled upon my Furby by mistake (best mistake I ever made). I bought it purely as an economical car for work, which I still rekon it is.

What I didn't bargain on was the personality change. I seem to have a permanent grin on my face (maybee its the G-force).

Its just standard model vRS and to be honest I'm pretty satisfied with that.

I suppose I was a Skoda snob until June, when I first test drove my vRS now I dont think I'd change it for anything, its just brill watching the look on folk's faces as you go buy.

Main worry is that when overtaking on roads up here (remember we dont have Motorways and things like that so 60 is limit on a lot of roads, by the time you pass and pull in youre doing 90, but it doesnt feel anywhere near it.

Oh well enough of my enain (is that how you spell it) drivel.

Odds are I'll have a one click and green filter fairly soon, no I won't, well maybee decisions decisions.

Glad you really like your car, and feel free to ask all the questions you like. :D

Hi Robzer,

I first test drove the vRS last year and thought it was a great car but the wife didn't want to know. Looked at loads of other cars but none came close. Eventually dragged the wife back to the local dealer and asked for another test drive - this time with the wife behind the wheel. 600 yards down the road and she was already grinning like mad. Ten minutes later and she was loving it. When we got back half an hour later she wouldn't give the keys back. Ending up buying that car and now I have a real fight on my hands trying to get behind the wheel

Welcome robzer :)

Welcome to the site... glad your as happy with your car as we all are :)

Welcome Rob.

You are right about the car going faster than it sometimes feels! Its easy to get into instaban territory while barely noticing it! Be careful :D

Welcome Rob

Dont worry about asking Q's , its the only way to learn / acquire knoledge.

Cheers for all the replies, guys

Was visiting a local panel beaters today. Hes got an Audi A4 PDI 130 and only gets between 35-40 mpg. Is it just because its heavier?

Welcome Rob.

Especially if you're driving in the North East of Scotland - lots of cameras? :finger:
