Just wondering what the Rev limit is set to on The PD130 Asz engines ?

And when you reach it does it feel the same as a Petrol.. Almost like Fuel Cut & Hitting a Brick Wall..

Sudden thud Etc & you Back off instinctively but all is Ok afterwards....

Not certain of the Rev's i was at when this happened but as i glanced after it had happened it was around 4.5 K mark.

4500rpm I think although I wouldn't bother taking it that high as it runs out of puff and requires a gear changee around 4000rpm

Not sure Dean TBH, mine pulls to about 4700 and then I change up/bottle it .

, It probably was higher as i was not watching the rev counter, just the road, It was at the point that the Thud happened & i backed off, then i looked at the Ole dash ....

Trouble with a Hybrid is that they Keep Pulling ....

Errr guys its like 5,200rpm give or take a few rpms!

It feels like you hit a brick wall and then your car goes into limp mode... oh wait thats just mine in 6th gear

My Fabia still pulls till 5 has done since it was mapped

But i generally change up at 4500 as it seems to work better than revving it out

Felt like the Brick Wall, Reminded Me over Overboost & fuel cut on Petrol Turbo Cars..., I do believe there was no Limp Mode Though ...... Are we back on Premature Ejeculation Now or Boost / Rev's .. Im confused ..

I believe I actually hit limp mode just before the rev limiter in 6th...

Id imagine things were getting a tad hot at those sorts of speeds....

My car went into Limp mode once at top end of 5th, had to get my map changed lol

Was fine then hit limp mode 3 times at the RR day but my mapper told me it's their rollers overboosting the car, it did hit 30psi on my guage at one point but never does that in normal driving even when revving to 5k

It's why I swapped back to petrol

It did. It meant that when I drove my car I was excited, as opposed to driving a diesel. With more excitement in my life it stopped the PE
