Perhaps I should check my tyres now and again

Featured Replies

Had my 20K/2 year service today ........dropped the car off at about 8.30 and picked up an 02 Fabia TDI as a loan car for the day (I was very impressed , I must admit , except for the fact that it sounded like a tractor :D )

Received a call from Bowling Green Garage (yes I will write a positive feedback in the dealer forum) at 2.45 to say car is ready . Arrive at the garage where the stand in service recepionist tells me my car is fine except for my near side rear tyre ....the tread level is just OK , but there are strands of wire showing in the middle of the tyre where the tread has sort off just peeled off ..........."You must have been doing some serious cornering to do that"................aah that may have been the handling day ... :D

Perhaps/obviously I should have checked my tyres since then , but I haven't .............so now I have my spare complete with steel wheel on my nearside rear ... :o ...............but as I have 2 brand new tyres in the garage just waiting for the right time , they will now have to go on .

Bowling Green Garage at Powick  , near Worcester I would definitely recommend , very friendly , very helpful , very courteous , and I got a loan car without asking , and they cleaned the car for me ...........non of which I got from Brooklyn Skoda in Alcester ...........where I actually bought the car from !

4 for 100 ;)
