New CR diesels for Superb

Featured Replies

Production of the Superb with 140BHP 2.0 TDI-CR as already seen in the Yeti starts in February, replacing the old PD. CO2 down to 143 and economy also improved.

1.6 TDI-CR with 105BHP should come in the autumn, replacing the 1.9TDI-PD.

Do we know what the C02 is with DSG box version ??

Are you certain the 1.6tdi CR will be fitted in the Superb II? I would have thought the 2.0Tdi CR 110 would have been more likely, as fitted in the Yeti and Passat.

That said, I'm still a great fan of the 1.9Tdi PD 105, having driven a total of 150,000 miles (and counting) in Octy II and Superb II company cars.

I belive the Passat is now available with the 1.6 TDI-CR too. I guess the 110BHP 2.0 was some kind of stop gap due to poor availability of the new 1.6 engine.
