Just fitted my boost gauge at the weekend and i have noticed something strange. The turbo peaks at about 1.4-1.5 bar (Its been remaped) but as the revs climb it seems to just fall off. Is that normal (I'm a complete noob when it comes to turbo cars) or do i have a boost leak? I'm still running the standard DV so that may have split possibly.

Cheers

That seems a tad High to me, either the gauge is wrong(I would liek to think or the remap is not of a great std.)

you could change your DV to the Bailey 30iirc or the Forge 007p, I dont think that you have a boost leak as it gets up to 1.4+ then dropps, dont forget that the K03s is only a small turbo so cant move the air.

I would get that checked tho as 1.4 bar boost + seems like too much to me for the turbo and you may find it wont last long at that. I am no expert tho jusdt going on what Ive read and been told by various mechs.

All the best mate

Yes, it's normal.

As above, building to peak boost and dropping off is perfectly normal for a road-tuned engine.

What I'd question before anything else is the absolute calibration of the boost gauge (against known constant pressures, does it read correctly).

Thanks guys, i have no idea how accurate it is, it reads at 0 when the gauge is off, and when its on it reads -8 vacuume.
