Alrite buddy could possibly be a faulty fuel temp sensor? had a similar problem and found out today after my mate scanned it that this was the problem.

EGR is a common one on nearly all engines.

A fault scan is the best bet as it could be one of many things, or just live with it and see if it goes. Some do if it's not a bad fault.

High probability EGR as above. Had same late last year, cleaned and refitted but still no joy. Bought new EGR and fitted - problem cured error code reader will confirm, or VCDS/VAGCOM if you have access to it.

Cost £160 for the EGR though, could delete it if you have already re-mapped and eliminate the irritation, I'm pretty sure the error can be tuned out rather than disconnect the EML.

Cheers guys I'll get it plugged in soon can't b egr had it removed ages ago bloody cars and the electrics on them I miss my mk 1 nova when warning lights come on lol

Could be anything dude, check all your brake lights work though, if a bulb goes, 9 times out of 10 it ll put the light on due to the way the brake light switch works

and the winner is........................................................ vrs_lee plugged my diagnostic bit in come up with fuel temp so i cleared it sorted lol :thumbup:
