I like this although a fraction too low for me.

Yellow's looking good on VMRs

Quite similar to my Turinis in a number of ways.

'Working' from home today so had a flick through this thread from the start. Noticed waaay back on page 4 is a pic of Wilfrieds estate which popped up on Edition38s facebook page before Christmas. It rocks my world!

Helios are just lush...

They just look TOO big though, to me anyway

I like the wheels but not a fan of the colour coded grill surround. Would be better on black IMO.

:) perfection in a single picture (if the car was lowered)

Do like those helios. Are they 19's ? I have a simple idea that put larger wheels on will make the car look lower and it's probably cheaper. Anyone disuade me of this view ?

I think it's the reverse actually. The wheel to arch distance remains constant, but you have a larger object within the arch. It therefore has the result of making the car look higher off the ground.

You only have to look in the Fabia Mk1 section, where people put 17" Octy Spiders on, but without lowering the suspension. Has the effect of making it look like a 4x4....

Point taken. Shall ditch that one then.

Does look much better lowered Paul

I agree, it's the lorry in the background that really sets it off! Lol.

Damnit, I do love the FL vRS front end. And the entire look of the vRS with the bodykit and wing works a lot better with the hatchback body, IMO. It's what made me go for an estate in the first place. The more plebian spec Octavias look slightly off in hatchback form and I can't really put my finger on why.

And sometimes it feels like everyone on here has vRS'es. :D

Mmmmmmmm

Is that a standard vRS, but with a colour-coded grille?

You devil

Click on pic to make it bigger note the massive modifications you missed from stock on car there are 3 more there on outside anyway.
