Hello Briskoda community

I was delighted to put down a deposit today on one of these fantastic little cars. truely impressed by the test drive.

Its '06 Black Magic, covered 60K recent timing belt change and has a leather interior.

I'm very much a vRS newbie, haven't yet done my research so look forward to learning a lot more through the forums

thanks for the welcome.

so far i have found the numerous threads on SEAT console bushings and PD160 intakes.

and also very surprised that

Standard fabia vRS boost is 1.3 bar I think. Remaps generally take it up to about 1.6 bar on stock hardware.

:p no wonder it has some torque / torque steer!

if anyone is patient enough to point me in the direction of the (dare i say it) realistic life expectancy of the OEM turbocharger & cost of replacement turbocharger when the inevitable occurs.

I intend to protect my investment with regular 3K oil changes.

My 2003/03 Fabia vRS is running standard original clutch and turbo and has happily passed 130k this week. It has been re-mapped for around 100k now

wowzers. thannks for the infos. So just to reiterate and clarify, you have done 100,000 or 30,000 since the remap?

clutch & turbo life span are my main concerns.

2 more quickies please:

# Is there a workshop manual pdf hosted on this site?

# is there an electronic parts catalogue or equivalent for referencing when ordering spares.

100k Since the remap I bought a switchable system as part of a group buy on here years ago. My car was still in warranty at the time so I wanted to be able to go "back to standard" for anything involving the dealer Since out of warranty it's never been switched back. Running +/-175bhp and 295lb/ft
