Went to reattach my door card on my vRS after resealing and it's a sod to do. To get it to all clip in is fine it's just getting the cable to attach to the handle. I got it all in once and I tried the handle and the cable came off. Then I tried to take it all off again and I couldn't pull it off the top of the door. Finally with a bit of brute force and luck I got it off.

One thing I did notice is the door lock popper (silver shiny thing) wasn't completely flush to the door card when I locked it. All the door card was in place except for the cable for the handle. Will it go back to normal once it's properly attached to the handle? Also how much is the popper supposed to protrude when locked? I don't know if it's more than the passenger side or not.

they varie I think, depends some fabia's i've seen them sink lower than they should etc. erm.... maybe twist it clockwise and push it down on the bar a little bit? should be ok then?

Dunno if it's the same for the rear doors too but...

As well as the "hammer head" metal blob that attaches to the interior door handle, there's a guide clip about 3" behind it to secure the cable outer and keep everything aligned. Drove me mad for a week or two when taking RH corners with its clacking and clicking....

New trim poppers including the rubber seal/standoff/WTF are about £2-£3 for 10 from the dealers.
