for my 18th, which was last week, im getting a vRS to replace my beloved Fiesta. My fiesta just sold, 51plate black zetec s with a 1.7 puma engine conversion

Went to see one today but the dealer was a bit riffy and was only offering 30day warantee which didnt best please my dad!!

Going to see another tomorrow, Black 54plate, 47k miles, and its up for £6250 at a garage in Chesterfield.

Hoping to get it for around £5600 with a bit of haggling!

Just wondering if theres anything major to look out for, i know about cambelt at around 50-75k, anything else?

I think you will be hard pressed to get a 47k 54 plate for £5600

At that age the cambelt should have been changed as intervals are at 60k or 5 years whichever comes first, in this case age. If it hasnt been changed your looking at a minimum cost of £300 for cambelt and waterpump at a garage and thats if your lucky.

Worth checking the rear carpets for damp which means clogged up or leaky rear door seals.

Also give it a good blast look for excessive diesel smoke, steering also tends to pull heavily to the road camber on some cars.

We shall see about the price, hopefully i can pick a few things out, i.e. the cambelt service, if it hasnt been done that is. I can get the cambelt done for £150 anyways so that's no trouble, the dealer doesnt need to know that lol.

Usual, allow the turbo to warm up and cool down after blasts, dont boot it below 2,000 revs.

and then it will be going stealth! anthracite wheels after a week of having it
