Headlight blunder

Featured Replies

I feel like an absolute idiot right now!!!

I somehow thought it would be a good idea to put 130w full beam bulbs in the fabia. They were ok for the past 2 months untill i had the headlights on full beam for about 30mins soild and they have melted the inside of the headlights!! Thank **** they didn't melt the wires etc!!! Thanks to my bloody stupidity i now need new headlights so if anyone has a set in the garage they want to sell cheap then drop me a pm.

I noticed your location in your profile, what were you trying to do? more Northern Lights. Lucky plod didn't spot you mate, I doubt the two electric fires you had installed would be 'E' marked for road use. Live and learn eh.

Scan eBay for Fabias being broken for spares. I'm sure there'll be some on there with available headlights.

And blimey - 130w bulbs! Must have been good while it lasted! :o

Pop some Philips X-Tremes in there next time....

Steve

"North of Inverness" is the sort of place where you can drive at night for 30 minutes on main beam without inconveniencing anyone else sometimes.

There's a drivers side unit for sale here

Would reduce the search by 50%
