Featured Replies

Hi

I have a little question about my alarm?

I bought a skoda octavia RS 2003 and i will test if my alarm works.

When i lock the car blink once and the blue led start to blink.

I tryed to open the door from inside but i cant because its some SAFE thing.

I move in the car but still no alarm.

How can i test it? The former cardealer said that car have alarm but i will test it.

PLS HELP!

UPDATE

Did a test with locked car and put iginition on but i just hears a PIP sound

Hiya.

If it's the factory alarm, I think it's a Catch 22 situation to test like you seem to have been trying. The alarm is armed when you lock with the remote, but that also sets the deadlocks, so the handles won't work.

If the car has tilt or volumatic sensors you might be able to fire them by jumping hard on a front wing, or taking it on a ferry trip (second of these is very popular with Audi drivers).

Im gona try tilt hell of it hhahahahahhah nx for the idea

The MK1 Octy vRS does not have an alarm as standard at all, the flashing light in the door has nothing to do with an alarm and just indicates that the deadlocks are engaged.

Maybe what I said was slightly misleading; the Octy didn't have a standard alarm, but I've been told several times that there was a factory option alarm (presume the same as Audi use) with perimetric, volumatic and vibration sensors.
