Featured Replies

Lads, is this correct - OFFSET is pcd: 5x112 offset: 35 to 42 bore57.1

being offered Kahn RS-C from a Merc with 5 x 112 ET 31, would u see any issues with them?

any advice would be great.

thanks, colin

Offset is determined by wheel width, so you will need to know that as well.

Sorry to bug you guys, but anyone know where i could get the OFFSETS to suit the MK2 Superb.

Wheel i'm looking at are 5 x 112 ET 31 8X18 if this helps?

thanks, Colin

I am not a wheel expert but have changed the wheels on my skoda recently after a bit of reading. The potential issues that occur to me are:

- Mercedes wheels tend to be listed with a bore of around 66.5, not sure what can be done about that.

- Superb 18" alloys seem to be 7.5 wide. Wider wheels such as 8 may need a different offset to maintain the track.

(Lots of websites have calculators for this, it may be that 31 is OK or you can adjust it with spacers or such like but you may need to talk to a wheel expert to cover any other things like brake and arch clearance.)

If you are happy, you can look up the offset here: http://www.skoda.de/index.php?typ=Combi&niv=1&motor=3.6%2BV6%2B4x4%2B191kW&adaten=2

You can change the model and it shows wheel details including offset.

eg the 18" alloys on the 3.6 combi are:

Tyres 225/45 R18 92Y

Wheels 7,5 x 18 ET 49

ET being the offset for that 7.5 wheel 225 tyre combination.

Good luck, the longer I looked into the subject the more complicated it got.
