Featured Replies

B) Hi All, Just about to be the owner of a Hex-Can-Usb lead so I will have to go out and look at laptops now, I know the Ross website says a min spec and a rec spec but how are they in practice ? are people having any problems ? do you need a min of RAM or a good graphics card or a fast hard drive. cheers - Stuart

Have run it fine on a Pentium 2 laptop with sod all ram and tiny HDD. :)

I even got Windows XP to install on it too.

We design our software to run fast on a minimum platform. Lots of people these days are running on the Netbooks because they are easy to keep in the glove box, etc.

We sell the Dell Mini 9 (or the A90 as it is sometimes called) as well as a Samsung unit - the N150. We find these inexpensive Netbooks to be great for VCDS.

Im currently running my lead from a Windows XP netbook with no problems whatsoever, and the portability is fantastic

Small Eee 900 does it for me. (4+16Gb internal)

Any netbook with WinXP would do the trick.

Always in the car with the lead.

Sure I know - fully Windows 7 compatible. Lots of RAM? - no way. If you have a machine with the basic requirements we list, you have more than you need.

We sell minimal netbooks to keep things clean and uncomplicated.

The unit you listed is actually way more than you need. So, go ahead. Looks like a nice Netbook.
