Fiat Multiair anyone tried?

Featured Replies

This engine has been getting rave reviews for its power spread, anyone had a go yet?

My wife's 2000 w reg Punto is a multiair.

Well...it has big holes in the footwells that let all sorts of air, water etc in. Does this count?

they were upset after they invented commonrail any everyone copied it, so they have patented this new engine.....

apparently (I have a 1.9 multijet commonrail deisel sporting) they have dropped my engine from the sporting range...... why? because the 1.4 multiair petrol has as much power, as much performance, lower immisions, lighter, and er... get this... also averages about the same MPG......

if all this is true, well.... its brilliant.... also all punto sportings are stop start tech as standard..... christ, people are still raving if they get a fiesta (or some other compaible supermini ect) with blutooth connectivity, blue & me media has been standard on the punto for some time....

its a cracking engine.

Boom boom ;) Decron and yes I know Sharky! (how's life?). I wouldn't mind a Sporting from Fiatsupasaver :£12.7 as £15 grand list is Clio 200/ Ibiza Cupra territory: very expensive which will cost it sales :(

Sorry, but the way they describe that, if they have patented it (or just applied) I can see a way that other engine manufacturers can do the same without infringing.

I'm sure there are plenty of ways to skin the same cat.

Also it seems to ring some lean burn bells too.
