was a mouse an optional extra on the fabia vrs

Featured Replies

i have had 3 years trouble free motoring from my vrs, until yesterday when i had to call the AA.

all the electrics were fine, the car just wouldnt turn over.

so the AA man put his hand under the battery and pulled out the connector from the starter motor with 1 inch of wire on it.

once the battery had been taken off, we could see the offending wire and a nice pile of seeds, grass and mice droppings. must have been his secret stash.emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

the AA man got me going again, really good response time too.

so you have been warned , if you think you have gremlins in the engine, it could just be a mouse.emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Lol, thanks for the heads up.

Pop up the bonnet to fill up the screenwash to see Stuart Little looking up at me.

haha,

if it liked my engine so much it could have fitted an uprated clutch or a hybrid whilst it was in there.emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

rather than a pile of 5hit and some sunflower seeds, which look suspiciously like they came from my garden (can you believe the cheek)emoticon-0148-yes.gif

if a couple mice have taken some sound deadening from yours and the starter motor wire from mine.

then there might be a build thread started by stuart little soon:rofl:.

LOL

My brother used to have an old land rover defender, which had the '90' front end and grille transplanted on. This meant that there was about 8" gap between the grille, and the rad. One day while poking around in there doing some odd jobs he found a full-on birds nest, with eggs, and an angry little blighter sitting there tweeting at him defensively. He thought 'what the hell' and just left it there. I believe it was still there when he sold it about 6 months later. Must have been nice and warm with the occasional 70mph breeze I suppose.
