No problem with IE

Featured Replies

As title I have no problem with Internet Explorer so is there any good reason to change to Chrome, Firefox, etc?

You're much more likely to have your computer compromised via a drive-by-download if you are using IE.

Firefox isn't perfect and isn't immune from attacks but it is better than ie.

Firefox also has some useful free addons like Adblock-plus that cuts down on adverts and pop ups.

Chrome is very fast but I don't like the interface, Google also like to track everything you do.

Opera is worth a look, different from Firefox or IE but fast and usable.

I've not caught anything yet - touches wood - from IE. I've been using AVG 9 free. If I load a different one up how hard is it to change back if its no improvement? Do you get left with undesirable remains of browsers?

It's next to impossible to removed IE. But the other browsers are just like any other program and you can install or uninstall when you want.

I've used Firefox for years now and I just think it's a better product than IE.

If you've never tried it you'll need to give yourself a few days with it before you'll really know if it's for you. Bookmarks etc all work a little different.

And (not that I was surprised to find out) Google Chrome adds an automatic update function that runs at startup and then resides among the running processes. It can not be disabled via "Preferences", you must remove it manually (including doing some regedit). Such cheap software tricks are disgusting :swear:
