Do Fabia MK 2 wiper arms and Blades fit a..........

......MK1 Fabia?

I have always wondered if the rear aero wiper from a Mk2 will fit a Mk1 with no problem. I have read you have to make a small modification to a Polo one before it fits.

Yeah the modification is literally 10 seconds with a sander :) Not sure if the Polo and Mk2 Fabia rear wiper arms are the same though.

So the mk2 fabia wiper arms fit the mk1?? I have fitted the new passat rear aero wiper to mine, really easy just take the bolt that holds the arm in place and spray some wd40 and wiggle like a bugger and it should come off! All you need to do is sand down the bolt/washer cover otherwise it rubs on the window

You got part number info and price on the Passat wiper Simon? Presume it's from an estate... ;)

Was gonna just fit the 9N Polo rear one like I did last time as I don't like the look of the std one on the rear and the wipe is rubbish I find...

@Mr Goldfinger - the fronts arms might well fit, it's possible. Not heard of it tried before so you don't know until you try! Maybe get a set from a scrapped Mk2 and find out?

Cheers,

Steve

Umm sadly I don't as I went into my local tps and asked for a passat rear wiper arm and blade, mine cost £10 but that's because I know the company who own the tps counter,

i want a proper "meant to be there" look rather than after market fit

Sure I paid about £20ish delivered for my polo rear one. had it for about a year and a half, works well and looks like it was made for the car. Only modification you need to do is sand down the cup part which covers the nut and nozzle otherwise you can't clip it down as the glass is in the way. Bit of a job without a belt sander or some snips!

No idea on the MKII one, but the polo one fits fine so...
