Clunky 2nd Gear

Hello all,

I am new to the site so please bear with me.

I have a 56 reg 1.4 tdi Roomster with 24,000 miles on the clock and just as it came out of warranty, I started getting a problem when going from 1st to 2nd gear.

Once it has warmed up, the gear change is terrible although it seems fine when still cold. All other gears are fine. I am hoping that this is not a major gearbox problem and there may be a more simple answer to a fix.

Any help would be appreciated.
