Seriously, I looked at getting other new cars including the Nissan Qashqai but it just didn't excite me as much as the yeti did...For some reason I am really, really, REALLY excited about getting it and the wait is killing me...I think it's more than just the 'new car' excitement...Is it just 'something about' the yeti or am I alone?

I think it might have something to do with what cars people have owned before. The Yeti will be the nicest car that I have bought so far (not including company cars from a former job) and I can't think of any drawbacks for me....yet. I have often bought modestly powered small hatchbacks that, to a greater or lesser extent, involve a degree of compromise in terms of refinement, safety, performance etc. The Yeti is such a 'complete' car; if I could have ordered a panoramic sunroof as well it would be near perfect

It is a little too early to use the word "Iconic" but give it time:)
