Does anyone know when this option become available?

its still not an option in the uk, and seems to have become available in some other markets with the estate release.

In Finland they say that the KESSY production will start on wk22

It will be available from build week 22 across the whole of the UK & EU according to my local dealer.

Rang a different one and they hadn't even heard of it so it's anybody's guess really

As stated in the posts above, the KESSY system will be available to be ordered for any cars which go into production from week 22 of 2010, any dealer who does not know about this, has obviously not looked through the superb combi brochure, as it is shown about 10 pages in.

... seems to be the case here in London. Some of them (dealers / sales executives) have no bloody clue about the car and its features ...

If I were to have a this system on a car I owned then I would have major issues. My car is parked overnight on the front garden, with this system the chances of the car unlocking itself are greatly increased depending on where you leave the key inside your house. For example if you left the key in your living room by the door, it might be in range of the system so your car would unlock and you would not know about it.

I like the idea (a friend has a Laguna with it on) but as has been said, i dont like it in practice.

I cant see anything in UK Spec Estate brochure for it - and as our Estate has just (last week) been ordered, i would hope that it will come with a key that fit's into a hole, rather than being a Keyless car..

Unless ordered as an optional extra, your car will still come with a key, and if your car is scheduled for a build, before week 22, which is week beginning monday 31/05/2010, then it is not available as an optional extra, and if it is anything like the electronic parking brake on the passat, then you are probably better off without it.

If you go to skoda-auto.com and click on superb combi, then open the combi brochure,( and i'm sure this is the same brochure, as UK, as it is also the one for here in ireland), you will find the kessy system listed on pages 13-14.

The range of the system is I understand only 1.5 m so I don't think you have a problem.

Does anyone have any idea yet what the KESSY option may cost in the UK?

For guidance, has the cost of KESSY been published in any markets outside the UK?

Thanks.

I heard 350 Euro in Germany.

I heard 350 Euro in Germany.

Thank you - that's roughly what I would expect.

Hallo,

any news about KESSY?

Thanks,

Marco.

Just under 500 euros here in Finland. No mentioning whether production has begun or not....

KESSY is £350 in the MY2011 brochure. Supposed to be fitted on my car in Build Week 24.

You can read in german forums already about haxxOORs who cheated Kessy. And its more dangerous than with the normal remote because it can be done with the driver actually far away from the car.

I have just ordered KESSY with my Superb Combi in Sweden.
