Been reading a bit about being able to get CC retro fitted which would be pretty useful for me due to motorway mileage..So i took my Fabia vRS to the dealer today to get a quote, but he was unable to tell me if it could be fitted to my car and had never heard of it being done. After telling him ive seen it being done on these forums, he then investigated further and came back telling me it would depend on something to do with a controller? (I had no clue what he meant by this) and that he could not tell me what was in my car, and therefor could not fit it.

So my question is, can Fabia vRS have CC retro fitted? And if it is something to do with my controller, is there a way i can find out if mine is compatible?

yes it can be fitted, yes it has been done. the dealer may not be the best place and may well say it cant be done. Usually only needs a new stalk, small wiring modification and the car coding to say cruise is fitted. Depending on your location give Shartk Performance or Unit 18 a call, both are sponsors on this site.

Yes it can be done. My dealer wanted £300 to fit it! You'll need a new stalk which will come with it's own wiring loom, mine also needed a wire run from the ECU to it for it to work.
