Folder/Inserters

Featured Replies

Anyone out there with any experience of mailing machines? To be specific a Neopost SI60 :mad: The most unreliable heap of carp I have ever come across in life (even worse tham a Citroen BX :thumbdwn: )

Despite about 4 engineers visits, it still jams about every tenth letter at the stage of insertion to the envelope. The latest excuse is that we're not using Neopost envelopes :confused:

Well, the envelopes we're using worked OK for the post 6 months.

Any hints/tips/ ideas? :)

Bfh

Have you tried anti-static spray? It might help.

Good idea. I'll try that. We use it to make the filled envelopes drop off the exit rollers square so they stack up tidily. ;)

Bits kept falling off or breaking with monotonous regularity :finger:

Culminating with it dumping all its hydraulic fluid on to the road through a faulty rear suspension unit 30 miles from nowhere :mad:

Hence no suspension, brakes, steering :eek: :eek: :eek:

Mind you, when it went it went well - a TZD 1.7 turbo-diesel. 90 bhp from a fairly old-tech 1.7 wasn't bad for the mid 80's :D

Didn't work :mad::mad: An now hand-filling 2000 envelopes :eek:

That sounds familiar - on our way back from seeing AC/DC at the NEC in 1990 :rofl:

As I say, characterful LOL
