Full Specs 2010 Elegance?

Featured Replies

I know most would say to my question, “It’s a little late now” but, I ordered a new Octavia Elegance 1.9Tdi DSG in January. (Hopfully pick up in early April)

Having read many threads on this excellent site, I am getting very confused with what I should be getting as Standard for the above model. I have the 2010 brochure, but reading the threads, there seems to be much more than what is mentioned in the booklet.

Any ideas where to go to get a full spec. for the above.

I have searched the net but almost every site gives a slightly different spec. and most seem to be up to the 2009 model, not 2010 model.

I know I could go to the dealer, but I would imagine that he would then have to go to Skoda to get that info. Hoping to get a short cut to the info.

Many thanks for any advice, RoystonB

Knowing someone on the 'inside', I can 100% confirm it will arrive with a wheel on each corner and an engine inside the bonnet.

I didn't think that part of the spec had changed between 2009 & 2010 models! :smirk:

Here's the link to the current Octavia brochure.

Only thing I can see that's missing from the current brochure to what I received yesterday was the electric folding door mirrors. I've got the hatchback so can't comment on what you might get if its an estate you've ordered.

RoystonB -- it's a bit confusing because Skoda changed the spec recently (for example they dropped folding wing mirrors as standard i think).

Electrically folding mirrors are still listed as standard on the Elegance.

They are in the brochure but not on the website.

Electrically folding mirrors are still listed as standard on the Elegance.

but as I've been led to believe they are no long standard on the elegance.

Today I have just had my first test drive of an Elegance.

This was a demo 2010 reg model, and was obviously built sometime in 2009.

The car did not have power fold mirrors fitted. The dealer told me that this is a well known documentation error

that has existed within the sales literature for sometime. The only way at present to get power fold mirrors is by ordering the

Electric memory drivers seat and electrically adjustable, heated and foldable door mirrors with auto dimming

and memory function. This is priced at £565.00.

The real problem is due to the fact that the sales publication incorrectly lists "Electrically adjustable, heated and

foldable door mirrors" as a standard fitment. The dealers have pointed this out and a change is being considered,

and requested that power folding should now be offered as a separate price option.

In the mean time the dealers are left to clear up the mess.I don't know what the legal position is on this matter, perhaps

some qualified member of the legal profession could advise here.
