Question about mirror switch

Featured Replies

On the early fabia that had mirror switches marked with "Heat / L+R / L" is it supposed to latch in the "L" position?

Mine springs back to the middle if you let go so, to if I want to adjust L I have to do a kind of twist and adjust movement all at the same time which seems daft. Is my switch broken?

Our 53 and my 04 Fabia don't do that, they stay where you move them. If you switch to L it stays on L (latches), or if you switch to R it stays on R. When you adjust the mirrors they go back to neutral position, but still on the same mirror.

It has L - heat symbol - R on both cars

The older ones were so up was heated (stays in place), down adjusts the left mirror only (returns to centre) and the middle does both at once - the idea being so multiple drivers can adjust the height easily.

Annoying with the left/down bit, but that's as it should be.

Not broken then? That makes a change!
