door handle issue

Featured Replies

first of all i want to say a big thank you to whoever posted advice on the forum about sealing the rear doors. i have had trouble with water leaking into to the footwell, but after finding a solution on here i tackled the problem today-so fingers crossed!

this has however caused me another problem. i didnt take the door trim right off, prefering to lift it clear of the offending seal and work around it. but it seems it lifted too far, and the door release catch has disappeared into the door trim (i didnt notice til i shut the door :( )and not i cannot get the door back open to rectify it!

neither handle allows me to open the door, and i am restricted as to how far i can get behind the trim to do anything.

could someone please advise?

Only thing I can think of is wind the window down, fold down back seats, and hope you have enough clearance to get the door card off.
