Week 16 is the week beginning Monday 19 April. For 2010 week 1 started on Monday 4 January. allowing the standard 4 weeks from build to delivery, I should take delivery during the week beginning 17 May.

Seems at odds with my recent experience.

Saw the VAT off deal and the 0% finance, ordered the a diesel vRS on last day of Jan, car delivered on 1 March.

Made the point that I needed it to be on time as I use it as a driving school car, car arrived as expected. Is the delivery better in Scotland ??

I have just read an article in Feb 2010 stating the production of the Octavia is to be reduced in March 2010 WWW.AUTOEVOLUTION.COM/NEWS/SKODA-DECREASES-OCTAVIA-S-PRODUCTION-16705.HTML

This seems to be at odds with the recent increase in demand, and long lead times.??? Although it does say if demand changes, they may step production .I hope so!!!

Is that for a proper factory order? ie not picking up a cancelled order from someone else and therefore getting an earlier production slot?

If they are coming that quick then mine might turn up in the next few weeks! Only waited 5 weeks so far, much more to wait I think. I am mentally prep'd for a 14 week wait so anything earlier will be a bonus!
