Well what a discussion this is turning out to be...

I understand the issue of the minor postees not getting the benefits, but there is already a 'members area' on this forum which you need to be logged in to access.

Why not have more than one owners club? The other brands of the VW group do,

Paying members would have access to all the same things as non members BUT would hopefully get access to track days and shows first before the non-paying people, access to product discounts and demo days for instance...

Shows like GTI international, and any of the VW shows, We would benefit with interest in the cars on the stand

Skoda UK backing would be usefull as new product demostrations

getting the odd rally jacket as a prize.. Maybe even been able to meet the rally drivers.....

On the downside the guys who put in the work for this website and others who do the stickers etc are doing this off there own backs and the commited member will travel to shows or events..

Why not get the added benefits??

Maybe a POLL would come in handy??

Like the sound of a club - quite happy with Daveu's suggestion "Club vRS" as various rapid skoda's,but also happy with Club Briskoda -- why not set up a poll ???

There was a poll, but I think the overall consensus was to leave things as they are for now, whilst Colin thinks up some ways on how we can support the site, etc

I like the sticker idea. Not rigid, less formal and noticeable to other drivers. Expierience of other non-motoring forums tell me that charging fees/subs to be a part only sees the demise of the forum in that new memebers become far and few leaving just a few hard core members, and its taking new members that keeps the thing fresh and interesting.

I would as said do the sticker way. Make the Briskoda stickers pay for themselves, a bit for overheads,for membership and a tad for profit to cover any extra costs not mentioned.Add to that the already mentioned "tourist type" sticker and away you go. Members are visible, as are that years "funders".
