Can anyone tell me if it's possible to change the coloured plastic casing on an Octavia 1 n/s wing mirror?

The mirror was knocked off but amazingly the glass and plastic were not damaged, just the folding mechanism. I've found a replacement on Ebay and wondered if I could swap my silver casing with the primed casing on the new one, rather than paying for a spray job.

Of course you can

Under thie wing mirror, there should be a hole with a rubber bung in it. Behind this, there is a clip which holds the casing on. You need to put a screw driver in this hole and use it to unclip the casing. It's easy, but fiddly.
