A terrible thing happened at the supermarket today....

Our Yeti got savaged by a Freelander- he reversed into the front !!

The bumper went in :S and then out but thankfully no damage done!

...apart from my other half with his dry Lancashire wit asking if the freelander was not fitted with parking sensors!! there were no fisticuffs

Did the ***** in the Freelander stop?

It wasn't red and muddy was it?

I shall be checking mine very carefully when it returns from Worcester tomorrow!!!!

Didn't have to call International Rescue then ?

I expect the other driver didn't have the Brains he was born with :S

Only....when for some strange reason he found his car wouldn't go any further back :wonder:

But yes got his details (it wasn't The Hood ),

got home

and washed the car (it was so dusty it was hard to see if there was any damage!) and it looks fine!

Its a good job the number plate sticks out such a long way or Yetis beloved nose :love: may have ended up looking more like a Discovery

A word of caution regarding deformation of bumpers. Modern bumpers are meant to progressively crush/collapse to soften the blow. Although the end result of a minor impact may not show external damage, there may have been some limited permanent deformation within the structure (often honeycomb like). If in doubt get your local car damage specialist to take a look, shouldn't cost anythinging except your time.
