Octavia integrated LED indicator door mirrors

Featured Replies

Good afternoon folks,

A really anal question about the LED cluster integrated in the door mirrors on my new Octavia vRs (pride and joy and all that).

Is it possible to replace the LED cluster in its own right without having to replace a larger part of the door mirror assembly?

Some chump clipped me yesterday and left a 1" stress crack in the cluster / lens. Only I would know it was there, but it is really bugging me.

Any advice / knowledge welcome. Cheers.

Yes it can be replaced seperatly, its a small unit which is screwed into the mirror mounting/ it costs about £25 from the dealer,

Cheers mannyo,

Now I know that, and that pay day is approaching, there could be a visit to my dealer on the horizon.

Same thing happened to me, the cover is slightly scuffed but the LED lens is cracked.

Is there a part number for the n/s LED assembly?

Have the same problem and now have the rplacement cluster, but can anyone give me an idea of how to get at the fixings for this. I can see i will have to remove the glass in the mirror, but do not want to go at it gung ho and risk breaking the glass..... any suggestions on how to remove the glass safely?

My lens was smashed by a passing stone (though the LEDs still worked). In the end I had the dealer do the replacement - if they broke something they'd have to fix it. If I broke anything (ie the glass) I'd have to pay for it :) It took less then half an hour, cost me £23 labour and in total came to £51 with parts.
