Octavia vRS track control arm

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if is out there a direct replacement of lower front suspension arm? Maybe from Audi S3 or TT?

I find the rubber parts way to soft, especially the rear one..

Thank you,

Mircea.

Audi TT and Audi S3 have different front lower arms, but the bushes are just the same anyhow.

Powerflex do uprated bushes.

There are several versions of front lower arms and at least 2 of them have different bushes... Ex: standard rear one pn is 1J0 407 181, S3 one is 8N0 407 181 B... I looked underneath and S3 has obviously stronger bushes and you can not fit them in the standard arm.... The question is if S3 arm will fit and also if it has the same dimensions, so I will not mess up the front angles...

Thanks for Powerflex tip, but is difficult for me, I live in Romania...

have heard that one way of improving the handling of the Octy is to fit A3/S3 lower arms as the they are different in design to the standard Octy.

they improve the layout and the dynamics of the car improve, this is more noticable when the car is lowered.

it was posted on here when the ARB group buy from Awesome was going on.

perhaps do a search and you might find it.

good luck

A3 quattro wishbones are no good, severe lack of camber adjustment s3 would be better but the track is wider.I am trying to find a solution to getting more camber on my car,was thinking of s3 arms but i think that due to wider track the steering would have to be altered as well.A3 q arms are pressed steel,tt,r32 and s3 are cast alloy ?Cheers Andy
