update on delivery dates

Featured Replies

After asking my dealer on a number of occasions when I should expect to get my SM built and getting nowhere, I called SUK today for help. They confirmed a build of 3rd/4th week in April and delivery in 1st/2nd week in May! It was ordered on 31st Jan!!

So that's nearer 13-14 weeks for delivery rather than the 8-12 they quoted at order time. SUK quote 16 weeks, but it seems the dealers are quoting less to avoid putting customers off.

This SM better be worth all the wait!!!!

Mine is now confirmed for a week 12 build - end of March. I ordered first week of January. :)

The Wife has just had a call from our dealer - the car is expected to arrive tomorrow and we've arrange to collect it on Monday.

It's felt like a long 11 week wait - we placed the order on the 2nd January.

That is great news!

Another Yeti on the roads next week  - can't wait to see some photos- what model/spec/colour is arriving?

Similar to me. Ordered third week of Jan, expected delivery is now first week of May.

Yeah, rather pleased it's arrived, it was stuck in Germany last week. :S

We should be getting a red 1.2 SE. I'll take the camera with me when we collect it.

Just spoke to Skoda UK regarding build/delivery date as annoyingly, my dealer has ignored all my emails. I'm gutted to say that now the deal has been done, the dealer is being pretty unhelpful. After signing the paperwork I came away thinking he was the best thing since sliced bread, but now I'm not so sure :(

Anyhow, I ordered on 10th Feb and Skoda have just informed me that the build date is ESTIMATED to be the last week in March with a deliver date of the last week in April or the 1st week in May. They said that these dates could still change so really I'm none the wiser! They did say that dealers are being over optimistic about the delivery dates to encourage the sale which is a little bit naughty...

Its frustrating to say the least. I also don't understand how, if I ordered mine first you get yours built sooner. No fair! LOL

Oh dear. I know! It doesn't make any sense...Unless they are estimating my delivery date and nearer the time will tell me it's much later...It wouldn't suprise me! Nightmare

Sympathy all round from here - BUT!!! When we finally get the beasts (or are we to refer to them now as "puppies"!!) and we get in and drive them for a week or three, we'll soon forget the angst and torment of delay.

There is that marvellous aphorism about only actually expending energy worrying about something you can influence, and just accepting things that are completely beyond control - as in this case. We just need to sit back, relax, chill, and await the day of delivery with a fixed beatific grin. (Yes Grandad!!). So easily said, eh?

(whistling softly, through clenched teeth, he wafted off in the bright spring sunlight, as happy as the lambs gambolling about in the fields, dreaming... ... ...!)

Yeah, I know what you are saying... nothing we can do about it so why worry.

The only reason I have to worry is I am note sure how much longer my current car will last without me having to spend load of money on it, only to have it scrapped when the SM is delivered...

  • 1 month later...

Well its good news indeed. Got a call from my dealer today to say my Yeti was sitting on their carpark! I was expecting to be built this week, not delivered. Picking it up on Wednesday!

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At long last.

Great news Muckypaws :) you will enjoy every minute of driving your car .

I have had mine (2wd SE110dti corrida red ) since mid December I have now done 3200 miles my average miles per gallon has now moved up to 47mpg. The engine is getting much more flexible as the weeks go by. I have found the car very comfortable and quiet to drive.

The only problem i have had is with a sticky canceling indicator stalk, my wife thinks i love it as much as her ! it just looks so good when its clean and polished I just cant help myself.
